Someone is Very Busy

Little Sophia has just learned the art of pulling herself up.... and boy is she proud of herself. She thinks it's great and is all smiles for the first few minutes in her newly learned position. However, then she realizes she has no idea how to get herself down and will hang on for dear life until someone rescues her.
Looking pretty excited here...
And even showing off her newly learned wave hello to make us extra proud...
The little bugger is already trying to get up the stairs. Yes, it is definitely time to put the gates up!

Olivia the Entertainer

Sue just sent along this picture of Olivia taken on our FL trip over Christmas. I had to post it because it just cracks me up. Olivia found the glasses, hat, and pipe around the house we were staying in, decided to put them on and play the piano for anyone who would listen. Yes, she is a Lasnicki- straight up.

California Vacay

As usual, our visit out west to visit Nancy and Bob was perfect. It was just what the doctor ordered when it's March in New England. We couldn't have asked for better weather or better hosts. The weather was perfect for our days wine tasting in Paso Robles, beaching in Avila, hiking, going out to dinner, visiting Solvang and then Mike in Santa Barbara. We packed so much into our week. Nancy and Bob were the most gracious hosts, ready for us with tons of baby stuff, crisp clean towels and the most comfortable bed, a packed fridge with yummy Trader Joe's treats, and delicious bottles of wine. I wish we lived closer to our family in California. We just love spending time with them.

Here are some pictures from our trip.

Wine tasting at Calcareous (is that how it's spelled, Nancy? None of us could remember how to pronounce the name all week but the wine sure was yummy)
Montana De Ora... what a beautiful spot. Look at the view in the background.

Nance and Poochca Vince and Sophia ready to hike Bishops Peak

Nancy, Vince, and Sophia on our way up Madonna mountain.

Sophia was so good the whole trip and I think she enjoyed having Mom and Dad to herself for the week. We sure missed Olivia (thanks again Mom for taking such great care of her while we were gone) but it was also nice to get some quality time with Sophia.

St. Patty's day with our Guinness attire (thanks Bob)

Thank you Nancy and Bob for your generous hospitality. We had such a great vacation!

Happy Easter and Welcome Nancy!

We are back home from our vacation in case you have been wondering where we have been :)! Oh my, we had such a great time visiting Nancy and Bob in California. I'll be sure to post more about our trip after I get all my pictures uploaded. While we were there, I got my very cool sister in law up and running with her very own blog. So, I just wanted to send out a little welcome to Nancy. Visit her here when you get a sec.

Sunny Day

We took advantage of the blue skies and bright sun and headed to the beach for some crisp ocean air this morning! After a weekend of stormy weather, it was so nice to get out and enjoy the outdoors. The girls enjoyed it too. Oh have I missed the beach this winter!

Our little puff ball with Olivia's baby doll...

And PS- I am loving that daylight savings time is already here!

Sicki Lasnickis

Oh my, this has been the week! The whole family has been sick with a nasty cold. Olivia is coughing up a lung, Sophia has a fever and double ear infection, and Dad is passed out on the couch sick as a dog. I am sick too, but realize that there is no time for that as a mother. Yes, I am feeling sorry for myself today. All I want to do is go back to bed. Oh well!
