Just got back...

from an awesome trip to Vail, CO for a good friend's wedding..

Now I know why my friend Cathy decided to stay out there. It is gorgeous!! This is the setting for their wedding. We had a blast. I'll post more pics soon!

Photo Shoot...

My little photo shoot didn't start off so well yesterday.

First Sophia decides to pick her nose.... she must have learned this from Daddy :)

Then Olivia decides to pick her butt....

thankfully after all that picking, I was able to get a couple cute ones of the girls together. I swear- what did we all do before digital cameras?

Another September Birthday!

Yesterday was Vince's Dad's birthday! Sorry we didn't get this on yesterday... we were gone all day!

Sunday

This morning we headed to the beach to see what it was like at the tail end of tropical storm Hanna.
The wind died down, the sun came out, and our day ended like this...

First Day

I had to post a few pictures of little Miss Olivia on her first day of preschool. Yup, that's right. Our little girl is off to school for 2 mornings a week. All of the parents got to stay with their kids today so they can ease into it and Olivia did great. I really think (hope) that she enjoys it!

On Friday, my mom and I headed up to Boston and took the girls to the New England Aquarium. We met Boo and Kai and saw some jumbo sized turtles like this one:

and the cutest penguins like these guys:It was a perfect day up in the city and we all had a great time! On Saturday we had a visit from our Boston cousins and had a grand old time hanging out by the pool and eating lots of (= way too much) food.

I think Olivia and Addie are becoming best buds.

and Sophia was content in her 'tot rider'... This thing is a lifesaver by the pool.

Something New..

Olivia tried out her Jeep that has been sitting in the garage since she turned 3. She was nervous about driving it by herself until today and she did just great!

We got the girls in the Burley trailer and headed down to the canal Saturday and Sunday for two nice long bike rides. Vince was crazy enough to pull both girls for 14 miles. I think the girls really enjoyed it (except when Olivia bit Sophia for scratching her but we won't get into that!).

It really was nice to get out and exercise as a family.

Circus Smirkus

Sabrina, Rowan, Ava, Olivia, my mom, and I went to the Circus on Monday night. Thanks Mom for the tickets. This isn't any old circus... It is put on by high school aged kids who perform juggling, acrobatics, trapeze, wire walking, and clowning. These kids are so talented. It was a nice night and we had a great time.

Olivia especially liked the fact that she could have cotton candy....

More Christening

It has been a busy few weeks with vacation, Sophia's Christening, and Lea's bridal shower. I finally have a few minutes to catch my breath and do some blogging. I have some more pictures of Sophia's Christening as well as a little video from the party afterwards. Poor Sophia didn't know whether to laugh or cry when these crazy boys were singing to her....

I thought I would share some of the photos from Sophia's Christening on Sunday. We had such a great weekend hanging out with some of our favorite people but also missed those who were not around. Thank you everyone for being part of Sophia's special day and for all her generous gifts. She is so lucky to have so many special people in her life!
